Big Island Hot Spots: Whittington Beach

My next new MUST GO SEE "Hotspot" on the Big Island is Whittington Beach in the beautiful Ka'u, South Point of the Island.  It is also known to locals as Honoap'u Beach Park.  It is located off of Highway 11 in between Volcano and Kona.  It is spectacular!

East Side Eateries: Restaurant Kenichi

Recently opened at 684 Kilauea Avenue, Restaurant Kenichi is treating Hilo residents to a food fad that has already taken over other parts of the islands and the U.S. Mainland: ramen. Ocean Sports: OC1 Season

Now that Regatta season is over, paddlers are getting ready for OC1 season. OC1s are the long, skinny, 21’ canoes adorning the tops of cars and trucks around the island. They have detachable amas that make them outriggers.
