Big Island Hot Spots: Sunny Kapoho

My next Vacation Hot Spot on the Big Island is Sunny Kapoho.  You have to stay at one of the Vacation Rentals right on the Beach.  My favorite is a 1 bedroom oceanfront cottage next to the Wai'opae Pond's Sanctuary in Pahoa, Big Island.  It is just a simple cottage, cozy and charming with the view worth Million's.  It comes equipped with water gear, BBQ, full kitchen, and dishware.

Waa Waa Subdivision on the Big Island

Waa Waa is a beautiful rural community in Lower Puna located between Hawaiian Shores Recreational Estates and the corner of Hwy 132 and Hwy 111 (Kapoho). I remember when my wife and I moved there in 1972 and there was only one other home in the area. Welcome Home, Andrew: A Story of Hope

Last May, Andrew, my beloved cat of seven years, disappeared from my family's home in Hawaii Kai.  We searched for him for weeks, making daily visits to the Hawaii Humane Society and hoping that his microchip would assist in Andrew's return home. But with every trip to HHS, our faith in his homecoming was weakened by disappointed heartbreak. Until finally we began to accept he might be gone.
