Airline Travel Tips: Spring Break
Spring break is a busy time for the airlines. Families are vacationing, college students are returning home or going to “Spring Break” destinations, children are flying to spend part of the break with your mom or dad.
This is actually a good time for travelers who have a whole of time on their hand to book flights ahead of time. Why? Because the flights are usually oversold and the airlines look for passengers to be paid off with travel vouchers or free tickets. In essence, you will be getting 2 flights for the price of one. Plus the airlines will usually put you up in a hotel with transportation to and from and confirm you for usually the next day. So the next time you book a flight for the family during spring break try to have some flexibility on your return date so that you can volunteer your seat. And while you are here, you might want to take a look at a possible vacation home if you visit Hawaii every year.
