Big Island Hot Spots: Carl Smith's Beach

My next Hot Spot is Carl Smith's Beach located next to 4 Miles, which is another local hot spot in sunny Keaukaha, Hilo.   Now that it is nearing summer, you need to head out early to get parking and a special area for a pop tent to BBQ and picnic with the family.  There is a nice grassy area, covered pavilion, benches, and bathroom.  You follow a path to the water where you come to a stairway straight into the icy refreshing clear water.  A great way to spend the day, go check it out.
