East Honolulu

Waikiki, Ala Moana and the University of Hawaii area of Manoa are a few of the neighborhoods that comprise this region. It covers some of the state's most valuable land and homes, including all the south and southeast shores. Some of these areas are strictly single family homes - such as Waimanalo - but half of this area has high rise condos, townhouses and something we call O lot line homes.The most densly populated area with the most highrise buildings is Waikiki, however the density gives way to the soft warm breezes and white sand beaches reminiscent of days gone by.  Waikiki is still the beautiful romantic vacation spot it always has been.  

Many folks decide to make Hawaii their home after just such a vacation in world famous Waikiki! The average price of a fee simple condo on the island is $350,000. A single family home is priced closer to $650,000. In Waikiki there are many types of condo units; studio, lodging unit; one bedroom, two bedroom, etc. Parking, as in any city, is premium. Views are optional, if you have one the price is higher. Square footage is also a premium, space is valued because it's limited.
