Runner's World: Hawaii
Having been a runner most of my life and after two arthroscopic surgeries, most of my right knee meniscus is just about gone. Had read about meniscus replacement but the patients are carefully screened because the procedure will only benefit those who do not have arthritis in the knee and the recommended age limit is 55 years old.
Saw an orthopedic surgeon today and he confirmed what I had read. Just wanted to share this with you all in case you know of someone who has a meniscus problem and would benefit from such a procedure.
