Big Island Hot Spots: Puna Light Show
It's Christmas Time!
If you are on the Big Island right now, you must go and see the Puna Light Show in Hawaiian Paradise Park! It is just fabulous and I bet something you have never seen before. It is put on by the Oshiro Family.
From Highway 11, headed toward Pahoa, take a left on Maku'u.
Next go straight up the road and take a right on 18th Avenue. Follow all of the cars until you see the person directing traffic. He will tell you where to park.
Show runs every night during Holiday Season until December 31st.
Anywhere from 6 p.m .to 10 p.m.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day until 10 p.m.
If you are able to, bring can goods for donation. They have a Food Basket set up!
Once parked, turn off your headlights, turn you radio station in the car to 106.7, sit back and enjoy the show. There will be commentating and music in your car playing to the flashing lights, that change colors, and does an entire magical display. It is spectacular! Take the family and take a small snack for the kids. Enjoy.
