Repairs on H1

If you are heading Ewabound after 6:30pm Monday thru Friday, be aware that there are lane closures on H1 between the hours of 7pm and 4am.  Motorists should expect heavy delays and plan accordingly as it will sometimes take twice the amount of time to get to your destination .  Traffic starts to backup by the Pearlridge area and continues till about the H2 cutoff.

I usually take the Aiea cutoff and drive along Kam Hwy.  The traffic flows smoothly until you reach Pearl City close to Don Quixote.  It then crawls until you reach Sam’s Club then you breeze on towards Ewa or onto H2 Northbound.  Consider yourself lucky if it rains since construction is usually postponed.

Welcome Home, Andrew: A Story of Hope

Last May, Andrew, my beloved cat of seven years, disappeared from my family's home in Hawaii Kai.  We searched for him for weeks, making daily visits to the Hawaii Humane Society and hoping that his microchip would assist in Andrew's return home. But with every trip to HHS, our faith in his homecoming was weakened by disappointed heartbreak. Oahu's Best Beaches: The List

Should you type the words “best beaches in the U.S.” into any standard search engine, your inquiry will result in two inevitable outcomes. The first is that you will be directed to numerous websites, articles and blogs featuring subjective lists of the country’s loveliest coastlines. The second is that, regardless of these list’s subjectivity and diversity, you won’t find one that doesn’t include at least 3 Hawaiian beaches. Not a single one. It’s almost unfair.
