C. Kapono Pa, R(B)

Born in Hilo and raised in the Puna district on the Big Island of Hawai'i, C. Kapono Pa – known to everyone simply as "Pono" – is one of the younger agents of Savio Realty, Ltd.  Pono is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools - Hawaii where he focused on business and leadership, and is now eager to bring his knowledge and energy into the real estate marketplace.

 

Since becoming a REALTOR®, Pono has immersed himself in the business by participating on various committees of Hawaii Island REALTORS® (his local board of REALTORS®). These committees include the Caravan Committee, where he is the Hilo Caravan Coordinator, spending several hours each month carpooling from listing to listing to get a better feel for the market and the inventory; the Government Affairs Committee where he was Chairperson in 2016 and 2017, debating issues at the County level such as the General Excise Tax Surcharge, Real Property Tax Increases, and other issues that affect private property rights; and the REALTORS® Political Action Committee, where he serves as a Trustee since 2017 and is the 2019 Chair of the committee, fundraising and contributing funds to political candidates that champion the REALTOR® cause. Pono is the 2018 President of Hawaii Island REALTORS®.
