Dana Kenny (R) - Principal Broker
Biography
Dana Kenny was born and raised in the islands of Hawaii. He served in the military as a communications repair specialist with the 25th Infantry Division from 1974 to 1980.
Dana has over 35 years experience in sales and management. He received his real estate license in 1988 and his broker's license in 1991. Dana joined Savio Realty in 1989 and opened the Big Island branch office as the Broker-in-Charge in 1990, growing the office from a one-man shop to more than 40 agents at one point.
Experience
Since 2011, Dana has been the Principal Broker of Savio Realty Ltd. (formerly Hawaiian Island Homes Ltd.) - growing the company from two offices to its current size, with offices on Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island.
Dana manages all sales activity of the company, including the Projects and Lease-to-Fee Divisions as well as the General Brokerage Department for retail sales.
He is also certified by the Real Estate Commission as a CE course and pre-licensing instructor, and regularly does training for real estate professionals.
Additional information
During his career, Dana has received a great deal of recognition for his community service and civic activities.
1987 — Hawaii Jaycees "Man of the Year".
1986 — Mayor of Honolulu's "Good Guy Award", for his effort to improve safety at the Kailua Beach boat launching facilities.
1982 — Governor of Hawaii's "Employer of the Year" for Hawaii's handicapped, employing over 30 individuals in his warehouse production facilities at Island Import Co.
Dana served as a Director, and later as President, of the Kailua Jaycees. He also supervised several local competitions for the Miss America Pageant, and oversaw the Kailua carnivals and 4th of July fireworks displays for over 10 years. He later served on the State Administration.
