Peter Savio in the Honolulu Star-Advertister
Peter Savio was the subject of a Letter to the Editor in the May 7th, 2014 edition of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Barbara Feather of Ala Moana wrote a heartfelt letter to explain how Peter's dedication to preserving local legacies while providing jobs for Hawaiians has proven him to be an outstanding person, as well as a highly successful developer.
As Barbara says, "His values and practices are a stark contrast to current speculators. While adjacent Kaka'ako developers compete to deplete all natural beauty and regulations, Savio's projects preserve what makes Hawaii special [...] Successful business leaders like him are rare, and he should be applauded for his policy of favoring redevelopment for locals over unlimited greed. Character and success are not incompatible."
Peter Savio is committed to improving the islands of Hawaii while maintaining the historical legacy that he holds dear. As a "local boy" himself, the preservation of the 'aina is vital to the core of his development policies, and he will continue to work towards providing more jobs for locals, while creating better spaces to live and work in for all Hawaii residents.
