Airline Travel Tips: Baggage Claim Caution

For those travellers who search the web for the best prices.  Be aware that if you have 2 separate tickets on different airlines to your final destination some airlines will only check your bags to the final destination of the first flight.  For example:

1st ticket - HNLLAX  American 
2nd ticket - LAXSAN  Delta

Your bags will be checked to LAX only since your second ticket was purchased separately.  Hawaiian Air has already implemented this rule and soon all carriers will follow thru.  If you have any questions with this airline rule or real estate, please feel free to contact me.
