OC-1 Season Update!

This race was up the coast from Surf Park, Kawaihae. The thunder and lightning luckily went over the Kohala Mts. and left some choppy windy conditions for about an hour. This pic is before the storm. Regatta practices have begun in Hilo Bay Mon and Wed for women at 5. Tues and Thurs at 5. If you're 72 or younger, come on down!! One more OC1 race next weekend Sat in Hawi. The Tiger Challenge, 12 mi down the coast from Kapaau-rough water - this is the end of oc1 season on the Big Island-only 2 more interisland races (Pailolo 28 miles from Maui to Molokai) and Kaiwi Channel (38 miles from Molokai to Waikiki) are left until next year.
