If you are heading Ewabound after 6:30pm Monday thru Friday, be aware that there are lane closures on H1 between the hours of 7pm and 4am. Motorists should expect heavy delays and plan accordingly as it will sometimes take twice the amount of time to get to your destination . Traffic starts to backup by the Pearlridge area and continues till about the H2 cutoff.
I usually take the Aiea cutoff and drive along Kam Hwy. The traffic flows smoothly until you reach Pearl City close to Don Quixote. It then crawls until you reach Sam’s Club then you breeze on towards Ewa or onto H2 Northbound. Consider yourself lucky if it rains since construction is usually postponed.
